Annotation

The article analyzes the phenomenon of patriotism as a national idea in Russia from the perspective of motivational aspects of its actualization. The necessity to address the problem of patriotism is caused, on the one hand, by the ambiguity of its interpretations, and, on the other, by the presence of insufficient motivation among the younger generation in the formation of patriotic thinking. Integrated approach to understand the essence of patriotism is of particular importance in this regard, that is due to the structural features of the motivational process, represented by three basic levels: emotional, rational and the level of duty.
