This article discusses not only the development of N. G. Chernyshevsky materialism in philosophical and scientific knowledge, but also the great Russian thinker of the Hegelian dialectic. N. G. Chernyshevsky was one of the first not only in Russia but also in Europe understand the importance and significance of the dialectical method for the development of scientific knowledge, and stresses the need for its use in all spheres of the spiritual life. Dialectic is a key way to achieve true knowledge and contributes to its practical use. N. G. Chernyshevsky examines the practice as a philosophical category, as the criterion of true knowledge, as the ultimate goal of science.
