Religious identity in the Internet: social and cultural aspect

Annotation

This article analyzes the process of formation of image of the Russian Orthodox Church on the Internet on the example of Astrakhan sites of temples and churches. Virtual reality has become part of a huge online world where there are new forms of digital communication. Dialectics of electronic and information religious culture, their resources modify and create a new "life-world" of man. A new phenomenon, born with the development of information technologies and Internet, social networks are a field of active information activities and propaganda not only for media but also for political and religious leaders of Orthodox and heterodox currents, marketers and psychologists. The study of religious identity in the context of socio-cultural transformations caused by rapidly changing fashion trends of the Orphanage, is a problematic field of contemporary philosophy and cultural studies that require detailed consideration.
