Annotation

This article analyzes the changing geopolitical identification of the Caspian basin at the past and present. The main focus of his research the author makes on the specifics of the Caspian region. Caspian geography has made the energy and transit issues the key to interpreting the meaning of the rapid changes unfolding in the Caspian-Black Sea area.
