In article on the example of “Association of oil production of Brothers Nobel” in Astrakhan is considered the fate of owners of industrial empires. Brothers Nobel association - it a striking example of successful private business in pre-revolutionary Russia activity of which has been interrupted because of October Socialist revolution. After the revolutionary events of 1917, the Bolshevist power has completely subjected to nationalization numerous oil warehouses, bases, the enterprises and towns of the industrial empire “Associations of oil production of Brothers Nobel”. Activity of “Association” which has laid the foundation for development of the Astrakhan department of the oil company already in new economic and political realities is considered. It is noted that it is difficult to overestimate a contribution of Brothers Nobel joint-stock company to the economic and social sphere of the Astrakhan province. It is noted that the industrial empire of brothers created thanks to grandiose efforts of Ludwig Nobel at a boundary of the 19-20 centuries of a capitalism era Nobel becomes the base for future oil-extracting and oil-processing industry of Bolshevist Russia, especially in regions of the North Caucasus and Transcaucasia.
