Annotation

The article considers the progress of technology as a factor in the evolutionary formation of society. The balance between the external natural environment and the technogenic environment of mankind is analyzed. The artificial - technical sphere is constantly expanding due to the exponential increase in the number of technologies and due to the increased expansion of technology in the natural environment of humanity. The focus of the study is the unevenness of technological and social development. It is noted that almost always there is a cultural lag, the lag of socio - cultural development from the pace of technological achievements. The author turns to the concept of technological realism, which is focused on thoughtful inclusion, the inclusion of technologies and technical objects in the natural sphere. The paper explores the social problems of engineering and technology activities, as well as the social consequences of introducing high technology high technologies. Attention is drawn to the fact that technogenic risks increase in the post - industrial phase of social development.
