Annotation

The question of such a complex and important social phenomenon as leadership and attempts to interpret it has aroused interest since ancient times, beginning with antiquity. This interest has not weakened in subsequent historical periods. In Old Russian philosophical tradition, the problem of political leadership also occupies an important place, which is reflected in a number of literary works. Ancient Russian literature papers along with the philosophical content organically include elements of political views. This is evidenced by the fact that they deal with the structure of the principality and the state, the relationship between the individual and government, government and society. They give the characteristics of personal qualities and ideological and political views of the knyazes, the vaivodes, as well as those of the clergy. It is noteworthy that this is not about literary characters, but about historical personalities. In the modern sense, these historical personalities were recognized leaders at various levels who had a significant impact on modern society.
