Annotation

The article is devoted to the book by German sociologist K. Mundlos “When motherhood doesn’t make happy: regretting motherhood phenomenon” issued not so long ago and to philosophical thoughts on this subject. It is commonly believed in the society that motherhood automatically brings happiness and fills life with sense. Any behavior, contesting this social statement is accepted as deviation. That’s why any regretting on social status change from free to motherly is considered to be an anomaly as well as childfree or surrogate maternity are considered to be anomalies. This is the very problem which is raised by the author in her book. She states that the phenomenon of “regretting motherhood” is rather well spread in the society.
