Internal and external image of Russia in print media

Annotation

Article is devoted to increase of a role of influence of print media on formation of image of the state, in the conditions of increase of a flow of information and its globalization. The journalistic community and mass media, especially newspapers and other publications, are the defining factor of emergence, development and settlement of political, economic and social crises. Mass media and, in particular, press organs, are obliged to observe the moral and professional principles, commitment which is especially significant during the periods of crises. Observance of these norms, aspiration to show true succession of events, motivation of the public to active participation in political life of the country, introduction of own contribution to political development of the state are one of the main duties of mass media. Prosecution of the mercenary purposes, insincerity in submission of information, its discrepancy, exaggeration, an unilaterality, distortion and concealment, fear to reflect a true situation and concealment of some facts, immorality, intimidation, hostility suggestion, distribution of untrue, fictional reports, subjectivity, lack of an independent position and creation of far-fetched, antimoral ideas not only doesn't belong to duties of mass media, but also stirs them to work, does harm to formation of internal and external image of the state.
