On the formation of state ideology in modern Russia

Annotation

In today’s rapidly changing world, Russia is attaching great significance to the Political Science ideology uniting people around a basic value system. The paper addresses the transformation, development and evolution prospects of the contemporary Political Science ideology in Russia in the context of the innovative development of the Russian state.Creation of a consolidated society is a strong prerequisite for the implementation of the Russian Federation’s innovative development strategy. Only the consolidated society can provide a firm foundation for innovative development of the state and its entire Political Science system.Consolidation of the participants of the innovative process around the state’s ideology and values of the national idea acquires primary importance in this context. The paper looks at several specific steps in the evolution of ideological designs from the middle of the 1980s to date, with a focus on distinct features of the Russian conservatism and its variety - social conservatism, as well as liberalism and neo-liberal ideology. Possible fusion of liberalism and conservatism as one of the sought-for (desirable) ideologies is examined.
