SUPERHERO/SUPERVILLAIN BODY: CONSTRUCTION OF THE ALIEN'S IMAGE IN AMERICAN COMICS

Annotation

The article is devoted to constructing of the image of the Other / Alien on the example of American comics. Increased popularity of comics and anime shows us the importance of this cultural phenomenon, and the revealing of the rules of functioning of subjects and motifs in comics allows us to trace some of the most very urgent moments of modern mass culture. In the comics as in a mirror all the fears, hopes and aspirations reflect, and not only fears and hopes of the younger generation , but also a huge number of adults. The author raises the problem of understanding of the term body, corporeality in their various conceptual interpretations, identifies the main types of images of superheroes / supervillains of American comics and the problem of constructing these images. The classification of images of the Other shows us various types of this subject - Alien , anthropomorphic, teriomophic and so on. Based on this analysis , the author concludes that the construction of the body of superhero / supervillain in comic books as vivid images of the Other / Alien passes all the same stages as the construction of the body of the Other / Alien in the historical , cultural and social discourses .
