The attempts to find the answer to the question about “Platonism” understanding are observed in the article. The attention is paid to different approaches - from simple use of this term to revealing of its content. The points of views of foreign and native thinkers are analyzed. It was concluded that the very fact that thinkers adverted to the phenomenon of “Platonism” is a historically long term cultural and philosophical tradition in the world’s and Russian philosophy.
