The purpose of article is the conceptual analysis of a problems of preservation of a cultural heritage and cultural memory of the polycultural region. Tasks of article were the analysis of the most demanded conceptse of cultural memory a cultural heritage at present, and their specifics and a place in system of preservation of cultural identification of society. In article the interrelation of these two concepts, their the general and special feature are shown. As a result of the analysis the author comes to a conclusion that a cultural heritage concept is more indistinct and dynamically changing. The same object of a cultural heritage at different times can occupy various segments of cultural memory, both by size by the contents. So, for example, the places connected with revolutionary events of the beginning of the century, constantly change the configuration of cultural memory developing round them.
